About the Columbus Telegram

Since 1879, the Columbus Telegram has delivered news and shopping information to the homes and businesses of east-central Nebraska. More than 11,000 copies of the Telegram are read in Boone, Butler, Colfax, Merrick, Nance, Platte and Polk counties every Tuesday through Friday. The Telegram Advantage, a supplement published by the Telegram, is delivered to both subscribers and non-subscribers in the same area every Tuesday. Together, the Columbus Telegram and the Telegram Advantage reach nearly all of the 24,000 households in this seven-county market area.

Located at 1254 27th Ave. in downtown Columbus, the Telegram employs approximately 50 full-time, and 20 part-time employees. More than 250 carriers and contract drivers ensure that Telegram subscribers and Advantage recipients receive their publications on time.

The Telegram is owned by Lee Enterprises. The Telegram is dedicated to providing the latest news, sports and advertising to its readers. The newspaper also strives to provide its advertisers with the area's most efficient and cost-effective mediums for reaching prospective customers.
