“Staching” registration is open
The 4th Annual Mark A. Hecker Staching Through the Snow 5k Memorial Run is set for Saturday, Nov. 18 at the David City Auditorium. Vendors will be available for spectators and race participants to shop from 8 to 11a.m.
It’s time for runners and walkers to sign up, but event organizers also welcome the public to attend. Non-race participants are encouraged to cheer on the walkers and runners.
Santa and Mr. Claus will be part of this year's events and will be available for photos with walkers, runners, spectators.
Race registration is open and walkers and runners have the option of registering online at www.getmeregistered.com; downloading paper registrations from our website at www.stachingthroughthesnow.com; or by picking up a race registration at David City Discount Pharmacy, Bank of the Valley, or Dale's Food Pride.
The race committee has teamed with Dale's Food Pride and a grocery donation cart is available at Dale's Food Pride. This year, walkers and runners alike have been challenged to donate to the grocery cart and earn a free race entry. Each week a challenge is posted with directions on donating, liking and sharing the Staching Through the Snow Facebook post. Those participating are automatically entered into the random draw for a race entry.
All donations will be donated directly back to programs we support: David City Backpack Program, Stuff the Cruiser, and the Butler County Ministerial Association. For more information please contact Patti Lee-Smith at email@example.com.
If anyone is interested in a vendor booth, we ask that they contact a committee member for more information. This year's line-up of events includes vendors from across the region to include Twinning Sweets and Treats, Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay, 31 Bags, Kreations by Kasey, J Bloom, Advocare, Rodan and Fields, the Nebraska National Guard, Optimal Health, Dale's Food Pride, Lipsense, Young Living Essential Oils, Norwex, Relay for Life, Pampered Chef, LuLaRoe, and Barrett Publications and Tupperware.
