Arthur J. Novacek, 83, of Bruno, passed away August 26, 2017 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Bruno. Viewing is Wednesday, Aug. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary service, all at the church. Memorials have been suggested to: St. Anthony's Catholic Church and to the family.
Arthur was born May 14, 1934 to Vincent and Barbara(Rech) Novacek in Bruno, Nebraska. He graduated from David City High School, then enlisted into the Army. He entered the Army on January 2, 1957 and served until January 29, 1958.
Arthur was a life long farmer in the Bruno area. He owned and operated Novacek Upholstry. Arthur was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, and was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his brother: Clarence Novacek, of Bruno; sister: Loretta (Adolph) Codr, of Denmark, Wisc.; sister-in-law: Adeline Novacek, of Omaha; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Joey and Dennis Novacek.
