Nicolas Pachta, age 17, of Aurora, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, due to injuries received from a car accident.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Loras Grell and Very Rev. Rudy Oborny will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1420 9th Street, Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of arrangements. Nicolas Daniel Pachta, the son of Daniel and Jaime (Nicolas) Pachta, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on June 6, 2000 and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on February 2, 2018.
Nicolas grew up in Aurora. He was a junior at Aurora High School. Nicolas enjoyed being involved in football, trap shooting and FFA at school. He was a member of 4-H, where he showed cattle and swine. Nicolas loved to go hunting and fishing with family and friends. Nicolas was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, where he was involved in the Godteen Program.
Those left to cherish Nicolas’ memory are his parents, Dan and Jaime Pachta of Aurora; sister, Ashley Pachta of Aurora; brother, Mitchell Pachta of Aurora; maternal grandparents, Dave and Marilyn Nicolas of Bellwood; paternal grandparents, John and Fran Pachta of Bellwood; maternal great-grandmother, Faye Osborn of David City; aunts and uncles, Pam (Ryan) Helgoth of Garrison, Chris (Trisha) Nicolas of Bellwood, Katie (Tyler) Behrns of Yankton, South Dakota, Teresa (Kevin) Schumacher of Omaha, Bob (Liz) Pachta of Omaha, Sharon (John) Svoboda of Lincoln, Patty (Andy) Romshek of Papillion and many cousins and friends.
