Amanda Aerts took home first place from the Malcolm Invite on Sept. 19 at Branched Oak Lake.

The East Butler sophomore finished with a time of 20:46.00, just under 15 seconds ahead of Adam Central’s Sophia Conant. Milford’s Ashley Kroese was third. The Tigers placed sixth in the girls team rankings as Minden edged Adams Central for the title, and Milford, Malcolm and Lincoln Christian rounded out the top five.

The Tigers had three more runners in the top 50, with Abbie Christensen placing 40th; Olivia Bohac 49th and Hallie Zitek 51st.

In the Boys race, Minden’s Aiden Wheelock edged out Schuyler’s Nesrudin Yusef by six seconds.

David City had two runners in the top 50, with Miles Svoboda finishing 46th and Carter Ossian 50th.

In the boys team standings, Minden outpaced Schuyler for the title and Lincoln Christian was third. David City placed 13th and East Butler was 17th.
