Aquinas, David City, East Butler  and Shelby-Rising City will compete in holiday tournaments this week. Here are the schedules:

David City Holiday Tournament

Sutton and Douglas County West come to town for the David City Holiday Basketball Tournament Dec. 29 and 30.

On the girls’ side, Aquinas will play Douglas County West at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29. David City plays Sutton at 6 p.m.

The same parings of the boys games begin 20 minutes after the girls games are concluded.

The girls consolation game begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, while the championship begins at 6 p.m.

The boys’ consolation games will follow the girls games. Admission for each day is $5 for adults and $4 for students.

Shelby-Rising City Holiday Tournament

The brackets are set for the Shelby-Rising City Holiday Tournament Dec. 28 and 29 at Shelby.

The games begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 on the girls’ side of the competition. Friend plays Arcadia-Loup City at 2 p.m. Shelby-Rising City faces Clarkson-Leigh at 5:30 p.m.

The boys teams for Friend and Arcadia-Loup City play at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, and S-RC’s plays Clarkson-Leigh at 7:15 p.m.

On Friday, the girls consolation game begins at 2 p.m. with the finals at 5:30 p.m. The boys consolation game begins at 3:45 p.m., with the finals at 7:15 p.m.

Weeping Water Holiday Tournament

East Butler will compete in the A Division of Weeping Water Holiday Tournament Dec. 28 and 29.

The girls team plays in the A Division faces Weeping Water at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the west gym. The winner faces the Conestoga-Sterling winner at 4 p.m. Friday for the division title. The third place game is set for 1 p.m. Friday

The boys team plays in the A Division, facing Sterling at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the west gym, with the winner playing the victor in the McCool Junction-Weeping Water game at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The third place game will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday.
