Shelby-Rising City vs Wilber Clatonia

WILBER — Class C-2, No. 4 Wilber-Clatonia continued its state title defense Friday with a 28-0 home victory over Shelby-Rising City.

The Wolverines (4-0) weren't overpowering on offense, with 230 yards on 64 plays, but they limited S-RC to 123 total yards and forced three turnovers.

Coltin Rezabek rushed for a pair of first-half touchdowns and caught a 16-yard TD pass from Mike Pulliam as Wilber-Clatonia led 21-0 at the break. Rezabek finished with 112 yards on 18 carries.

Jett Pinneo put the ball in the air 29 times for the Huskies, completing 11 passes for 54 yards and throwing two interceptions. He added a team-best 50 rushing yards on 12 carries.

Brenden Johnston and Curtis Micek led the S-RC defense with 10 1/2 tackles each and Lincoln Schoenrock had an interception.

Shelby-Rising City (1-3) plays Friday at ninth-ranked Sutton.
