The Aquinas volleyball team took care of business in a 3-0 defeat of Shelby-Rising City Sept. 7 at Shelby. The Monarchs had too much firepower for the Huskies and won 25-13, 25-15 and 25-19.

“Our team played pretty solid tonight,” Aquinas coach Jody Pelan said. “Outside of some mental errors, we were able to run our offense and play consistently well on defense, too.”

The offensive pressure was spread around, with Breanna Stouffer, Jenna Kobza and Kloe Ruth each recording six kills. Kobza and Regan Pelan boosted the return game with 13 and 15 digs, respectively.
