SHELBY — Shelby-Rising City couldn’t contain Hartington Cedar Catholic running back Jacob Keiser and it finally burned the Huskies in the fourth quarter.

Keiser scored three fourth-quarter TDs as the Trojans pulled away for a 37-14 road win Friday night. He finished with 295 rushing yards and scored all five TDs for Cedar Catholic.

The Huskies kept it close through three quarters. After Cedar Catholic went up 14-0 in the second quarter, Lincoln Schoenrock scampered 57 yards for a TD to cut the lead to 14-6 at halftime.

After the Trojans tacked on a field goal in the third quarter, Jett Pinneo found Max Hoatson from 8 yards out to make it a 17-14 game entering the fourth.

Keiser quickly put the game away.

Schoenrock finished with 102 yards on the ground while Pinneo threw for 208.

Shelby-Rising City hosts Lutheran High Northeast (2-0) on Friday. The Eagles have yet to be tested, routing Cross County and Twin River this season.
