December's balmy conditions came to an end just in time for Christmas. The 2-inch blanket of fluffy snow that fell from late Saturday to early Sunday brought a mixture of travel headaches, work and some fun too. Residents and snow removal crews went to work on the sidewalks and driveways while sledders were eager to get to the sledding hill at David City Park.
Winter's gift may may help ice anglers too, with temperatures dipping to below zero overnight Monday. The ice will likely thicken as temperatures aren't expected to rise much through next week.
