St. Isidore hosting bazaar

COLUMBUS -- The St. Isidore Catholic Church annual bazaar will be held 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the church, 3921 20th St.

The event will include live entertainment all afternoon, face painting, games, concessions, a beer garden and auction at 6 p.m. Some auction items include a vacation package, quilts and dinner with Fr. Joe. There will also be a raffle drawing following the auction.

Retreat focuses on messages

SCHUYLER -- Let Your Yes Mean Yes, and Your No Mean No is a weekend retreat scheduled for Sept. 1-3 at St. Benedict Center with Fr. Prior Mauritius Wilde from Rome.

Participants will look to Jesus for guidance, share experiences and discover through practical exercises how body language can be in sync with or contradict what they mean to express. The retreat begins at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 and ends on Sept. 3 following lunch.

Holy hour at St. Bonaventure

COLUMBUS -- Newly ordained Deacon Jim Naughton of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church will speak at 5:45 p.m. during the Aug. 28 holy hour at the church, 1565 18th Ave.

His talk, A Wonderful Gift, will be part of the monthly holy hour for vocations, which include singing, community prayer and silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.

Plasi dinner in Prague

PRAGUE -- Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church is sponsoring a roast beef dinner 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Prague Parish Hall.

The self-serve buffet is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-10 and free for children younger than 5. The event will include a cake walk, bake sale, silent auction, live auction and raffle. There will also be live music provided by the Leo Lonnie Trio from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Holy Family holding bazaar

LINDSAY -- Lindsay Holy Family Parish will hold a bazaar and dinner from noon-4 p.m. Sunday.

The roast beef and sausage dinner costs $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-10 and free for kids 5 and younger. The indoor event will also include a beer garden, carnival games, farmers market, concessions and big ticket drawing at 5 p.m. Handicapped and elderly parking will be available.
