Donate during Giving Tuesday
COLUMBUS — Columbus Area United Way is using today's Giving Tuesday event to wrap up its annual fundraising campaign.
Donors can call the United Way office at 402-564-5661 and request a pick-up of their donation check or donate online at ColumbusUnitedWay.com/Campaign.
United Way and Hy-Vee staff will be delivering goodies all day for donations over $75. They will deliver doughnuts in the morning, pizza over the noon hour and cookies in the afternoon.
Blood drive in David City
DAVID CITY -- A Red Cross blood drive will be held noon-6 p.m. Wednesday at the David City Auditorium.
Donors are urged to use Rapid Pass. Bring identification and drink plenty of water.

Currently, the United Way is at about 90 percent of its campaign goal of $875,000. Funding from the United Way supports 14 agency partners and many direct programs, including the Imagination Library and Kindergarten Readiness Camp.
Register for CCC courses
COLUMBUS -- Registration for 2018 spring semester classes at Central Community College is now underway.
New students must make an appointment with the admissions office before they can register for classes. Returning students should consult their adviser, then they may register on campus, by phone or online. Registration may be completed from 8 a.m.-5 p .m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays in the Administration Center at the Columbus Campus. Phone registration may be completed between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays by calling 308-398-7412. Web registration may be completed through “WebCentral” at www.cccneb.edu.

Students may enroll in classes during a general registration session on Jan. 3 at all three campuses. Spring semester classes will begin Jan. 8.
Craft boutique in Monroe
MONROE -- The Ziegler holiday craft boutique will be held Friday through Sunday at 121 Gerrard Ave. in Monroe.
Hours are 4-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Items for sale will include holiday decor, jellies, cards, baked goods, Christmas trees and wreaths. Drawings will be held every half hour. Soup, sandwiches and cider will be available for purchase.
Open house at Albion museum
ALBION -- The Boone County Historical Society will hold an open house from 1-5 p.m. Friday at the Boone County Museum, located at the entrance to the fairgrounds.
Refreshments will be provided and there will be live music from 3-4 p.m. This event is part of the 2017 Boone County Big Give.
