Lincoln police have accused a 38-year-old man of sexually assaulting a girl for nearly two years.
Daniel L. Graae, of 4923 Walker Ave., remained in jail Thursday after police arrested him on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault of a child Wednesday afternoon at police headquarters, according to jail records.
The case was reported to police Feb. 16 after the girl, who knows Graae and is younger than 16, told a therapist she was being sexually assaulted, Officer Angela Sands said.
Investigators believe the sexual assaults lasted from May 2016 until last month, according to court documents.
Prosecutors charged Graae on Thursday with first-degree sexual assault of a child and another felony sex crime.
If convicted, he would face up to life in prison.
