COLUMBUS — A local, century-old company is expanding by acquiring new locations.
Mead Lumber Company has purchased the Fullerton Lumber in Vermilion, Yankton and Winner, S.D., and Farm and Ranch Building Supply in Norfolk.
The purchases were effective Oct. 31.
“The geographic location and size of these stores make them a great fit for Mead Lumber’s growth plans,” said Craig Bradshaw, president of Mead Lumber.

Currently there are 35 Mead lumberyards, truss plants, hardware stores and mill shops in Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming.
