MADISON — A Mass of Christian Burial for Charlotte Mae Mimick, 88, of Madison, will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church in Madison with the Rev. Gregory Carl as celebrant.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the church with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Resseguie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at Countryside Home in Madison.
Charlotte Mae Weiland was born Aug. 7, 1929, to her parents Anthony “Tony” and Wilhelmina (Feiling) Weiland in Norfolk. She graduated from Madison High School in 1946 and attended St. Mary’s College in Omaha.
Charlotte married Albert Prechel on Aug. 31, 1949, at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church. Albert passed away Sept. 19, 1952.
Charlotte married Peter P. Mimick Jr. on Oct. 31, 1955, at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church.
She was active in the St. Leonard’s Guild and numerous bridge clubs. Charlotte enjoyed golfing and refurbishing antique furniture.
Charlotte is survived by her children Pamela Kurpgeweit of Elkhart, Indiana, Debra Mimick and August Vince Berger of Lynnwood, Washington, Peter and Diane Mimick III of St. Mary’s, Georgia, Christine and Larry Keller of Norfolk and Jeffrey and Cindy Mimick of Stanton; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Shirley (Ralph) Wolken of Stanton; and sisters-in-law Rose Weiland of Madison and Patricia Weiland of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Albert Prechel and Peter Paul Mimick Jr., three brothers and one sister.
