PLATTE CENTER -- Clare Will, 99, of Platte Center, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Interment will be in Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery in Platte Center.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, with a 7 p.m. vigil, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, all at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center.
Clare was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Platte Center to James and Elizabeth (Gleason) Foley. She received her education in Platte Center where she graduated from high school in 1936. She married Loren L. Will on March 4, 1946, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. She lived on the family farm near Platte Center until moving to Norfolk in 2000. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Society and a charter member of the Harmony Extension. Clare's hobbies were gardening and sewing.
Clare is survived by daughter Marilyn White of Colorado Springs, daughter Betty (Gary) Geiser of Lincoln, daughter Karen Zimmerman of Norfolk, son Larry (Marti) Will of Columbus, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Elizabeth Foley; husband Loren; three sisters Evelyn Foley, Mabel Foley and Madalyn Thurston; sons-in-law Gerald Zimmerman and Kenneth White and brother-in-law Arnold Thurston.
