COLUMBUS — Connor T. Frei, 17, of Columbus, died Monday, February 3, 2014.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 7, 2014, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus, NE. Reverend Tim Forget will be officiating.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2014, with a 7:00 PM vigil, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. at McKown Funeral Home.

Connor Thomas Frei was born June 3, 1996, in Maryville, Illinois, to Joseph and Lisa (Pritchard ) Frei. His family moved to Columbus in 2000. Connor was a junior at Columbus Lakeview High School where he played football, soccer, baseball and ran cross country. He was also a member of the Lakeview FCA, FFA, FBLA and the Boy Scout Troop #276. Connor loved hunting and trapping, 4-wheeling and hanging out with his dog, Lucky. He also loved watching movies and was an avid reader. If he really liked the book or movie he would enjoy it repetitively. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and employed at HyVee.

He is survived by his loving parents, Joseph and Lisa Frei, of Columbus, NE; older sister, Courtney Frei, of Grand Island, NE; older brother, Colby Frei, of Columbus, NE; aunts and uncles, John and Cathy Frei, of Indianapolis, IN, Steven and Janice Hamer, of Lincoln, NE; Jason Frei, of Potter, NE; Jim and Lou Ann Frei, of Potter, NE; Jerome and Fern Frei, of Potter, NE; JoAn Miller, of Norwalk, IA; Jean and Jerry McCarthy, of Polk City, IA; Jerry Pritchard, of Bondurant, IA; and many loving cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Ward Pritchard; paternal grandparents, Clara and Alvin Frei; and uncle, Jim Pritchard.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be determined at a later date.
