Diane Keeshan

COLUMBUS — Diane M. Keeshan, 76, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at Columbus Community Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. vigil, and 8-9:30 a.m. Friday, all at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.

Diane Marie Keeshan was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Columbus to Frank and Anna (Mostek) Kosiba. She attended St. Anthony School and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School. On Aug. 19, 1961, Diane was united in marriage to Gary Keeshan at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. She was employed with Hinky Dinky and Joe and Al’s Grocery Store. In 1985, her and Gary bought the Oasis Lounge and operated it till 1994. She then worked at Vishay Dale as a mailroom clerk-shipping inspector until retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish and St. Theresa Sodality. Diane loved to read, putting puzzles together, canning from her garden, camping, fishing and cooking for her family who were the light of her life as were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Gary Keeshan of Columbus; daughters Kim (Tim) Arlt of Columbus, Karla (Joe) Pensick of Wahoo, Kris (Charles Brookhart) Wortman of Wahoo and Karey (Dan) Huffman of Gretna; son Corbin "CJ" Keeshan of Columbus; 10 grandchildren Nick (Kristen) Arlt, Jennifer (Riley) Nikkila and Nathan Arlt, all of Hastings, Michael Pensick of Wahoo, Austin Wortman and Trey Wortman of Wahoo, Allie Huffman, Abigail Huffman and Alivia Huffman, all of Gretna, and Maliya Keeshan of Columbus; four great-grandchildren Clayten Arlt, Israel Arlt, Acen Arlt and Cora Nikkila; sister Phyllis Kush of Columbus; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Keeshan of Texas and Jan Meyers Columbus; brother-in-law Bill Keeshan of Albion; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Kosiba; brothers Ray (Vicky) Kosiba and Brother Mark Kosiba OSB; sisters Mary (Marley) Kumpf, Terry (Orville) Ahrens, Angie (Harold) Brewer and Jenny (Earl) Kuta; niece and nephews; in-laws Alfred and Florence Keeshan; and brothers-in-law Larry Kush, David Meyer and Jim Keeshan.
