COLUMBUS — Jack H. Schwank, 87, of Columbus, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Brookestone Acres.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 3921 20th St., in Columbus. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, with a 4 p.m. vigil, and 10-11 a.m. Monday, all at the church. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.
Jack H. Schwank was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Platte County to Fredrick and Minnie (Egger) Schwank. He graduated from Kramer High School in 1947. Jack was united in marriage to Teresa Tworek on Feb. 3, 1949. He farmed and worked at Becton Dickinson for 30 years until retiring in 1994. Jack was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and Holy Name Society, and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA), FMCA National Band, Heartland Travelers, Sports Coach International and International Society for Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica.
Jack is survived by his wife, Teresa Schwank of Columbus; son, Todd (Diane) Schwank of Columbus; son, Tom (Jenny) Schwank of Columbus; daughter, Jennifer (Marc) Desaulniers of St. Louis, Missouri; son, Fred Fritz (Nancy) Schwank of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; sister and brother-in-law, Addie and Roger Mills; and nephew, Jeff Mills.
