THORNTON, Colo. — Marilyn Peters, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at age 80.
Marilyn was born March 13, 1937, in Rising City to Kenneth and Martha Miller. She lived the early part of her life in Columbus and Broken Bow. In 1977, Marilyn moved with her husband William Peters to Sumter, South Carolina, were they spent many years. From there, they relocated to Morris Plains, New Jersey, before retiring in 1992 to Scottsdale, Arizona, and Centennial, Colorado. They were currently living in Thornton, Colorado.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, William J Peters of Thornton, Colorado, and her son Steven (Kathleen), granddaughter Amy and grandson Mick and sister Geraldine Gruenewald.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda, brother Kenny Miller and nephew Chris Gruenewald.
Marilyn enjoyed bridge club and book club and was an active member of Todd Creek Hatters. She thoroughly enjoyed taking cruises and flying around the world as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Brighton, Colorado. Interment will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in David City.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, Colorado, will be assisting the family with arrangements.
