NORFOLK — Pauline (Wallick) Korup, 90, formerly of St. Edward, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Edward Catholic Church, St. Edward, with the Msgr. Ralph Steffensmeier officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday at the church, with a 7 p.m. wake service. Miller-Levander Funeral Home of St. Edward is in charge of arrangements.

Pauline was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Omaha, to Fay and Viola Thompson. She attended schools in Bartlett and St. Edward. She attended colleges in Norfolk, Columbus and Omaha.

She married John Wallick on Aug. 6, 1937. They lived in St. Edward, Albion, Madison and Shawnee, Okla. She converted to Catholicism in 2003 at the St. Edward Catholic Church and was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Norfolk. Previously, she was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Albion and Grace Episcopal Church in Columbus. She was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary in St. Edward and Columbus.

She married James Korup in Oct. 1974. He passed away May 1985.

She was employed as a medical office assistant in Albion, Madison, Genoa and St. Edward. She was administrator of Thompson Nursing Home following the death of Viola Thompson. She was owner and administrator of Cloverlodge Care Center from 1973–1976 and retired due to a back injury. She cared for elderly and disabled for over 20 years.

She is survived by daughter Teresa and husband Robert Reinhart and granddaughters Cheyenne and Cherokee of Grand Island, Nicki and Steve Lawless and daughters of Norfolk; son Jeffrey and wife Barb Wallick; grandson Brad of Osmond, and granddaughter Jackie Wallick of Fairbanks, Alaska; daughter-in-law Carolyn Wallick and grandsons John and Doug of Modesto, Calif.; niece Roberta Lakey of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Viola Thompson, sister, Odetta Provorse, and son, John Wallick and by her husband James Korup.
