COLUMBUS -- This competition didn’t take a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

It was more about the frosting, sprinkles and coconut shavings. That is what happens when students get together for "Cupcake Wars."

The annual event was held Tuesday at Lakeview Junior/Senior High School for Future Business Leaders of America (FLBA) week, a time when the business-themed organization is highlighted through various activities.

"Cupcake Wars" featured eight teams of students who decorated trays of the tasty little baked goods to a theme of their choosing. Some gooped on colorful frosting to create their masterpieces in the 10 minute allotted time. The end result showcased cupcakes that looked like farm animals, sunflowers and a wintry snowscape, just to name a few.

Judges declared the top teams that created the three best-looking cupcakes.

After the judging was complete, cupcakes were sold at the school for $1 each. The proceeds benefited the March of Dimes.
