• Charlene Klug of Columbus attended the Pinnacle Bank meeting at 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at the American Legion in Columbus. The program was on CASA. Pie was served after the program.

• Charlene Klug was a visitor of Elaine Tiaden of Columbus on Oct. 27. The ladies enjoyed a game of Scrabble.

• A birthday party was held Oct. 29 in the afternoon at the home of Skip and Lorene Oehlrich of rural Richland honoring their grandchildren J.R. Oehlrich on his eighth birthday and Eli Oehlrich on her first birthday. The "Happy Birthday" song was sung and the birthday honorees opened their presents. Cake and ice cream were served. Among those attending were the parents of both birthday children Nathan and Tori Oehlrich, their brother Kipton, their aunt Ashley Oehlrich of Elkhorn and grandparents Mike and Jo Simon of Schuyler.

• Linda Forney attended the basketball game on Oct. 28 in the morning at the YMCA in Columbus. Her granddaughter Lola Doerneman was on one of the teams that played.

• Emily Stevenson was a dinner guest Oct. 23 at the home of her grandmother Florence Stevenson. Emily is a sophomore at Lakeview High School and there was no school for students as it was an in-service day.

• Florence Stevenson attended the Oct. 22 morning services at First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler and the luncheon that followed in the Fellowship Hall. For the program, Marjie (Scheuneman) Heir showed slides and told of her missionary work in Zambia, Africa.

• Rylee Stevenson, who attends UNO, spent a recent weekend at the home of her parents Ken and Denise and sister Emily Stevenson. Rylee observed her birthday on Oct. 28.

• Natasha Van Diest of Columbus took her aunt Kathy Leimser of Richland to Omaha on Oct. 27 where she entered Bergan Mercy Hospital. Kathy received a pacemaker. She returned home on Oct. 28.

• Charlene Klug attended Bible study and a supper Oct. 23 in the evening at the home of Sharon Hartman of Columbus.
