• Rylee Stevenson and a friend from Omaha attended the Northwestern vs. Nebraska football game in Lincoln on the afternoon of Nov. 4.

• Denise and Emily Stevenson were late afternoon visitors Nov. 4 at the home of Florence Stevenson.

• Charlene Klug was a Nov. 5 evening supper guest at the home of Randy, Joyce and Michelle Lindstrom of Columbus.

• Skip and Lorene Oehlrich of Richland hosted a party at their home on Oct. 29 for their grandchildren J.R. Oehlrich, who had her 8th birthday on Nov. 3, and Elli Oehlrich, whose birthday was on Halloween. J.R. had a black cat cupcake cake and Ellie’s cake had one candle on it. They were remembered with gifts and the "Happy Birthday" song was sung. Guests included the birthday honorees' parents Nathan and Tori Oehlrich and their brother Kipton, grandparents Mike and Jo Simon of Schuyler, Ashley Oehlrich of Elkhorn and Brent and Carmen Melliger and family of Columbus.

• Jacob Plugge and other Boy Scouts from Troop 211 helped serve the meal Nov. 6 in the evening at the senior center in Schuyler. His grandmother Marilyn Kula was among the supper guests.

• A group of relatives met at noon Nov. 1 and had dinner at Pizza Ranch in Lincoln. After the meal the group went to the home of Deon and Sheryll Roeber of Lincoln and enjoyed playing Mexican train dominoes during the afternoon. The host couple served dessert later in the afternoon. The birthday of Clifford Lambrecht was celebrated as he had his 80th birthday on Nov. 5. The "Happy Birthday" song was sung and he was remembered with cards and gifts. Present were Merle and Arlene Rudebusch and Fred and Jo Lambrecht, all of Lincoln, Carolyn Nelson of Fremont, Janet Lambrecht of Schuyler, Florence Stevenson of Richland and Clifford and Rojean Lambrecht of Columbus.

• Dan and Lora Saalfeld of Hastings visited his mother Evelyn Saalfeld, a resident at Columbus Care and Rehabilitation Center, on Oct. 30.

• Natasha Van Diest and daughters Emma and Khole of Columbus and Kathy Leimser of Richland went to Omaha on Nov. 4 and met Pam Wachal and Dawn Heese and all attended the Ralston Area Craft Show.

• Lloyd and Margaret Stevenson of Richland were Nov. 3 evening visitors at the home of Shannon and Sue Cole of Columbus.

• Jerel and Carol Engel of Richland hosted a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at their cabin on Nov. 5. Family members attending were their mothers Lorraine Engel of Richland and Wilma Podolak of Schuyler; Dean, Jenny, BreAnne, Ethen and Caden Thege of Columbus; Dr. Larry and Jackie Volz and daughters Emily and Lawren of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; and Joe and Teresa Davis, Bobby Davis, Chris Junior and Liam Junior, all of Omaha. The dinner honored Ethen Thege, who joined the Marines and left on Nov. 13.

• Members of the Lamplighters Club attended the soup and sandwich luncheon held at noon Nov. 2 at St. Luke's Church in Columbus. Following the meal the group held a short meeting and a committee was chosen to arrange the Christmas dinner and club party. Later the group went to the Heritage at Meridian Gardens and attended the craft show. Present were Charlene Klug, Carylyn Runge, JoAnn Siefken, Ruth Bakenhus and two guests, Ivy Klug and Chris Luchsinger.
