• Janet Loseke of Richland attended the wedding of Clayton Rodehorst and Paige Sprunk on Sept. 30 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus, and the reception dinner and dance held later at the Humphrey Hall.

• Florence Stevenson visited Effie Vavrick and Maxine Seefeld, both residents at Brookstone Acres in Columbus, on the afternoon of Sept. 28.

• Florence Stevenson attended the Schuyler Fire Department pancake and sausage breakfast on Oct. 1 at the fire station in Schuyler.

• Louie Williams participated in the parade marching with the Scotus Central Catholic band in Norfolk on Sept. 30. Attending the parade were Louie's mother Adair Schaffer and Quient Schaffer of Richland and Misha and Josie Walker of Lincoln. After the parade they spent time at the Fine Art Center in Norfolk.

• Eric Kasik of Lincoln was a Sept. 28 visitor of his grandmother Marilyn Kasik of rural Richland.

• Simon House in Columbus held a fundraiser on Sept. 30 at the Immanuel Center from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The event included a silent auction, raffle and lunch. Attending were Mary and Abby Walker of Bennington, Janis Kasik of Schuyler, Marilyn Kasik of Richland and Bonnie McPhillips of Columbus.

• Ella Noyd, daughter of Reuben and Lyza Noyd, was honored with a 4th birthday supper Sept. 30 in the evening at the home of her parents of Dodge. She had a decorated purple cake, received gifts and the "Happy Birthday" song was sung. Present were her grandparents Russ and Linda Forney and Larry and Cheryl Noyd and sisters Ava, Norah and Willa.

• Members of the Country Side Travelers Club met Sept. 25 in the evening with Carmen Hoppe as the host. Club members met at Dynamic Life Therapy and Wellness Center in Columbus. They were given yoga instructions and different forms of yoga. The group then went to El Mezcal for refreshments and a meeting was held. Others present were Lorene Oehlrich, Carol Wolta, Dianna Kehrli and Lynn Dvorak.
