• Jerel and Carol Engel of Richland attended the 2 p.m. Mass on Sept. 10 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Omaha. It was the celebration of wedding anniversaries month. The Engels recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

• Wilma Podolak of Schuyler spent Sept. 11 at the home of her daughter Carol Engel of Richland.

• Janis Kasik of Schuyler and her mother Marilyn Kasik of Richland attended a memorial service at the cemetery on Sept. 4 given by the St. Mary's Church Tabor of Howells. Later a potluck dinner was held at the Howells Community Center.

• The Welch family reunion was held noon Sept. 9 at Wunderlich's Catering in Columbus. Rita Mikkelson Ingold and her family served as the hostesses. A prayer was recited before the meal. For entertainment, "Welch" bingo was played with Welch products awarded as prizes. Stella Lusche's family will serve as the hosts next year and the reunion will be held on Sunday. There were 47 people in attendance. Among those were Charlene Klug of Columbus and Louis and Barb Welch of rural Richland.

• Charlene Klug attended a program held Sept. 10 at the Platte County Museum. Cyndi Jarecke, a relative of the Anderson family, gave a talk on the Anderson Floral Shop and had pictures for the guests to view.

• Teri Chromy of Linwood was a Sept. 6 visitor of Marcella Schmid, a resident at Prairie Village Retirement Center in Columbus.

• Nathan, Tori, J.R., Kipton and Eli Oehlrich and Skip and Lorene Oehlrich, all of Richland, and Ashley Oehlrich of Elkhorn were Sept. 10 visitors in Omaha at the home of John and Dawnn Reid.

• Florence Stevenson of Richland, Dan Stevenson of Columbus and Nick Stevenson of Norfolk were Sept. 10 visitors of Suzanne Stevenson, a patient at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Carol Wolta of rural Schuyler visited Suzanne on Sept. 9.

• Linda Forney of Richland attended the Schuyler Historical Society meeting Sept. 11 at the museum annex in Schuyler.
