LINCOLN — Camron James Smith, 44, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017, with his family by his side.
He was born Oct. 28, 1972, in Columbus to Terrance and Delores (Svoboda) Smith. He was a record tech for the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. Camron was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Camron is survived by his wife Mariah Elley; children Sawyer and Amelia, all of Lincoln; parents Terrance and Delores Smith of Columbus; brothers Kurt Smith of Norfolk and Justin Smith of Hooper; parents-in-law Kim and Toby Miller of Lincoln; sister-in-law Angie (husband Kevin) Lanik of Lincoln; grandmother Jean Smith of Schuyler; five nieces and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 8, at Calvary Community Church, 4400 N. First St., in Lincoln. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Monday in All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Camron’s family for a scholarship fund to be established for his children or to the Calvary Community Church.
