COLUMBUS — Scotus Central Catholic’s Kaitlyn Enderlin was one of six area golfers to medal Sept. 7 at the Lakeview Invite.
Enderlin shot a 91, earning the silver medal while leading the Shamrocks to a third-place team finish at Quail Run Golf Course.
Makenzie Enderlin gave the Shamrocks a pair of medalists after firing a 102 to finish 12th. She lost a four-way tiebreaker.
Lakeview also had a pair of medalists at the invite. Gracie Borer fired a round of 96 to take sixth and Olivia Engel shot a 103, finishing 14th.
Boone Central/Newman Grove’s Abby Brodersen carded a 93 for third place and Shelby-Rising City’s Rylee Branting was 11th with a 102.
Scotus also got rounds of 115 from Emily Carstens and 116 from Kendra Wiese to finish with a team score of 424. Maddie Neville shot a 124 for the alternate score.
Aurora won the team title by shooting 397 and Danica Badura brought home the individual championship for the Huskies with an 81.
Morgan Bignell shot a 110 for Lakeview, which didn't have enough players to qualify for the team standings.
Shelby-Rising City finished sixth in the team competition, shooting a 460. Monica Hinkle carded a 112 for the Huskies, and Kalli Kilgore and Sydney Ziemba rounded out the Huskies’ team score with rounds of 122 and 124, respectively. Brenna Houdersheldt shot a 126 for S-RC.
Ashley Mewhirter had BC/NG’s second-best score with a 119. Maggie Cleveland carded a 137 and Lauren Kohtz shot a 143. Lilly Reel was the Cardinals’ alternate score with a 161.
Schuyler sophomore Ivana Lopez shot a personal-best round of 129 to lead the Warriors. Claire Martin shot 131 and Jennifer Lopez shot 144 for Schuyler.
"I'm very pleased with Ivana's score today. I think she and the others have several opportunities over the next three weeks to shoot well and achieve more personal bests," Schuyler head coach Jeff Droge said. "We play Quail Run two more times this season and I'm hoping we can shoot better each time."
Schuyler plays Friday at the Crete Invite.
