YANKTON, S.D. — Central Community College battled the elements Monday and Tuesday during the two-day Mount Marty Invite.

Sloshing through running and standing water at Hillcrest Golf Club in Yankton on Monday, Nate Grossnicklaus and Colten Remm each shot 85 to lead the Raiders to a 344 team score.

When the sun broke through Tuesday at Fox Run Golf Course, Central began to shave the strokes of its scores. Grossnicklaus dropped his score by eight strokes from Day 1, shooting a 77. Remm knocked five strokes off for an 80 and his brother Caden fired an 81. Marshall Dreifurst posted an 83, for a second-day team score of 321.

The Raiders finished the tournament in eighth place with a two-day team score of 655.

Central heads to York on Monday for the Southeast Community College Invite at York Country Club.
