NORTH BEND — Lakeview’s bats were rolling Tuesday as the Vikings put up a new season high in runs scored, despite playing only three innings.

Lakeview had 11 hits and took advantage of nine walks and a couple of North Bend errors on its way to a 19-3 road win over the Tigers.

Nevaya Metcalfe, Caitlin Buck, Shelby Berger and Emma Williams all had two hits each for the Vikings. Berger also drove in three runs and scored three times.

Buck threw all three innings on the mound to pick up the win.

Lakeview started slowly, trailing 2-1 after the first inning, but once the bats got hot North Bend couldn’t stop them. The Vikings scored six runs in the second inning then poured on 12 in the third.

Lakeview (6-17) plays Friday in the Central Conference Tournament in York.
