BRAINARD — Shelby-Rising City went on the road Tuesday and swept East Butler.

Led by Sydnie Adams, the Huskies beat the Tigers 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.

Adams finished the match with 12 kills and four blocks. Reece Ingalls added nine kills while Vanessa Velasco had seven kills and three aces.

S-RC (6-10) plays Palmer on the road Thursday.

North Bend 3,

Twin River 0

GENOA — Class C-1, No. 4 North Bend made quick work of Twin River for the second time in four days Tuesday night.

After sweeping the Titans at a tournament in David City on Saturday, the undefeated Tigers (17-0) did so again on Twin River’s home court, winning 25-11, 25-22, 25-15.

Alexis Borowiak had seven kills to lead the Titans. Marissa Morris added five kills and Michaela Morris recorded four kills and two aces.

Twin River (8-10) hosts Central City on Thursday.

McCool Junction 3,

High Plains 0

CLARKS — High Plains’ struggles on the volleyball court continued Tuesday night.

After starting the season 4-3, the Storm have lost 11 of their last 13 matches, the latest a 25-21, 25-14, 25-20 loss to McCool Junction.

Emily McNaught had five kills for High Plains and Kaylee Van Housen added four.

The Storm (6-14) go to Hampton on Tuesday for a triangular with the Hawks and Meridian.

Spalding triangular

SPALDING — St. Edward lost both matches of a triangular Tuesday.

The Beavers fell 25-20, 25-16 to Spalding Academy and 25-10, 25-11 against Riverside.

Treva Tharnis led St. Edward with 10 kills and two solo blocks in the triangular.

The Beavers (3-11) play Thursday at Fullerton.
