Jean H. Krumbach, age 91, of Shelby, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Annie Jeffrey Hospital in Osceola, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Shelby Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Leo Seiker officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 followed by a 7 p.m. Rosary at the church. Interment will be in the Shelby Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
Jean was born March 14, 1926 to Louis and Helen (Born) Mueller in Columbus, Nebraska. She was a graduate of Duncan High School in 1944. On April 6, 1948 she was united in marriage to John H. Krumbach at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus.
Over the years Jean had been employed at Matt's Market and Bernt's Cafe, The Shelby Hotel and Kings Ballroom.
She was a member of Shelby Sacred Hearth Catholic Church and St. Anne's Guild.
Survivors include her children David (Donna) Krumbach, Cindy (George) Thelen and Richard Krumbach, all of Shelby, Sandi (Quintin 'Pete') Teegerstrom of York; sisters-in-law Margaret Zima of David City and Doris (Ole) Mueller of Loup City; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband John who passed away January 21, 2007; brother Robert Mueller; parents Louis and Helen Mueller, granddaughter Natalie (Teegerstrom) Schlegelmilch.
