Lillian B. Oestman, 82, a native of North Bend and last of Oregon City, Oregon, died March 27, 2018.
A memorial service was 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. Burial was at Purple Cane Cemetery, Co Rd P, North Bend, NE 68649.
A 1953 graduate of North Bend High School, Oestman taught rural school for one year at North Bend. She worked in the treasurer's office at the Dodge County Courthouse 1954-1961 and 1974-2011.
Lillian married Earl Robinson on March 9, 1957 in North Bend; they later divorced. She moved to San Diego in 1961 and returned to North Bend in 1962. She operated Blue Bell Preschool in her home from 1967 to 1974. She also worked at Dale Electronics in Columbus, Birchwood Manor in North Bend and the North Bend Mini Mart. She married Henry Oestmann April 23, 1977 in North Bend. She and Henry moved to Gladstone, Oregon in 2014. She, at one time, had resided in Milwaukie, Oregon and Oregon City, Oregon.
She is survived by her husband, Henry, of Oregon City, Oregon; sons, Gordon(Linda)Robinson, Garrison, Nebraska, David Robinson(Robin Heinlen), Gladstone, Oregon; daughter, Wauneta(Jerry)Kempf, Beatrice, Nebraska; sister, Mary Robinson, Fremont; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jane (Avery) Pacas; a daughter, Bonnie Martins; and brothers-in-law LaVern and Melvin Oestmann.Memorials may be directed to Purple Cane Cemetery.
