The fourth seeded Aquinas Monarchs (15-12) won’t have far to travel before they start the District C-3 Tournament at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, against Southern (12-14) seeded fifth. The game will be on the north field in Valparaiso. Raymond Central is the host team.
The winner of the game will advance to face No. 1 seed Malcolm (23-4) in the quarterfinals at 12:45 a.m.
Game 2 pits No. 3 Raymond Central (21-8) against Milford (8-18) No. 5, also at 11 a.m. on the south field.
At 12:45 p.m., No. 2 seeded Fairbury (19-6) plays No. 7 Wilber-Clatonia (11-18) in Game 3. The winners of games 2 and 3 will advance to the other quarterfinal.
Losers of the quarterfinals will enter the loser bracket games set for 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The games continue at 11 a.m. Friday, with the championship game at 2:30 p.m., and if needed, a second game at 4:15 p.m.
Scouts travel to Wisner
David City-East Butler- Shelby-Rising City travels to Wisner River Park in Wisner for the District B-4 Tournament on Thursday.
The Scouts (13-12) are seeded No. 3 and will face No. 6 Schuyler (1-22) at 12 p.m. in Game 2.
Game 3 pits No. 2 O’Neill (12-12) against No. 7 South Sioux City (0-24) at 1:30.
The winners of games 2 and 3 will play at 3 p.m.
The tournament starts with Game 1 and No. 4 Wisner-Pilger (15-12) against No. 5 Columbus Lakeview (7-19) at 12 p.m. The winner of Game 1 faces No. 1 Wayne (26-3) at 1:30 in the quarterfinals.
Losers of the quarterfinals games will enter the losers bracket for games to start at 4:30 p.m.
Games begin at 12 p.m. on Friday. The championship game is set for 3 p.m.
