Gary Pearson of Genoa has retired from Loup Power District after more than 35 years of service.
Pearson joined Loup in 1983 as a Maintenance Man at the Genoa Headworks. He was promoted to Equipment Operator in 1986, and Dredge Operator in 1990. Pearson was promoted to his current position of Headworks Supervisor in 1997.
As Headworks Supervisor, Pearson oversaw Loup’s operations at the Genoa Headworks and coordinated the activities the 12 employees there. He was also in charge of ordering supplies for the Headworks.
Pearson is a graduate of Genoa High School. He also attended Central Community College–Columbus.
Pearson and his wife, Betty, are the parents of two children: Brooke and Brett. They have seven grandchildren.
