COLUMBUS — Brian Strong recently celebrated his 20-year service anniversary with Cornhusker Public Power District.

He is the technical services and safety director and his duties include planning and directing the operation/safety of the purchasing, stores, building and vehicle maintenance, irrigation billing and load control departments of the district.

Strong began working as an apprentice line technician on the Columbus construction crew in 1997. He was promoted to journey line technician in 2000 and lead line technician in 2009. He was named technical services and safety director in 2012.

He is a graduate of Northeast Technical Community College and Genoa High School.

Strong and his wife, Jenni, live in Columbus. They have two sons, Grady and Grant. They are members of St. Isidore Catholic Church. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and golf.
