Norman G. Sherman, 90, of Bellwood, died Thursday, May 30, 2019, at david place in David City.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 10, at the Bellwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Carroll Plisek officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Bellwood American Legion Post #327.

Norman "Red" Sherman was born Aug.11, 1928, in Bellwood, to Floyd and Grace (Carpenter) Sherman. After graduating from Bellwood High School, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Bellwood American Legion for 51 years. Norman worked with heavy equipment, driving concrete trucks and paving highways. He and his best friend, Gerald Randall, rode Indian motorcycles together for many years.
Norman is survived by Ron (Peggy) Sherman of Rising City; Todd (Jamie) Sherman of Humphrey; and Chris Sherman of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Bess Sherman; stepsister, Betty Romshek; and stepbrother, Bub Tillman.
