Patty S. Fritchie, 75, of David City, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Family will greet friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday at the church. Burial will take place on Friday at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Per Patty's wishes, there will be no viewing, as she was cremated. Memorials may be made to family wishes.
Patty was born on Jan. 6, 1943, in Winfield, Kansas, to William L. and Betty (Knowlton) Pitts. She married Paul Fritchie on Oct. 8, 1971, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She worked as a secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services.
Patty enjoyed sewing, crocheting, watching TV shows, especially Murder She Wrote and the Hallmark Channel. She loved taking care of her plants and gardening, spending time with her family, and baking, particularly cinnamon rolls. Her favorite time of the year was the Christmas season.
Patty is survived by her children, Robin (Debra) Fritchie, Scott Brewer, Paul Edward (Diane) Fritchie, Becky Johnson, Chris (David) Cook, Betty (Richard) Risser, and Leanne (Will) Belt; daughter-in-law, Tina Brewer; brothers, Randy (Sherry) Anderson and Greg (Terry) Anderson; sisters, Jody (Jim) Bridges, Cheryl Kerrigan and significant other Mike Anderson; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, in 2007; son, Tim Brewer; brother, James Anderson; and sisters, Sandra Murphy and Marjane Pemberton.
