Daivd City golf had a successful day for several players and the team as a whole on April 10 when the Scouts won the Patriot Invitational in Clarkson and had four of its five golfers medal including sophomore Jordan Kracl who was the individual medalist.
Kracl shot a 82, three strokes better than second place. Kracl placed second at the same meet as a freshman a year ago.
"Jordan has shown that he can compete at a top level in high school golf," said head coach Tom Van Winkle in comments sent to The Banner-Press. "He placed second at this meet last year as a freshman, and it was great to see that he could push through and win his first invite."
Senior Will Danielson finished in fourth place with a score of 86, sophomore Ethan Zegers carded a 91 for seventh place and Wiley Hein shot a 93 for ninth.
"I can only think of a handful of times in my 20 years here that we have had four golfers medal at an invite," Van Winkle said. "Hopefully they can see that we have the ability to be competitive at every meet we play in this year and will continue to work on their games for the next month and a half."

The tournament was a challenge not only to the talent in the field, but in the midst of some less than favorable conditions as well..
"The conditions were some of the worst that I have seen in quite some time," VanWinkle said. "It felt like 35 with 40 mph winds, and I was proud of the way that we competed until the very end."
