Shelby-Rising City battled nine other teams in the Watson division of the Scouts Invite on April 22 and came out with a third-place finish. 

The Huskies shot a team total 403. Fremont Bergan won the invite shooting a 374. 

"It was a cool windy day and the Elks Country Club challenged the golfers," said head coach Jon Riggs in comments sent to the Banner-Press. "They played from the back tees and many of them found trouble in the trees throughout the day. Then the greens tested many of them."

Alec Wieseman led the Huskies with a 95.

"Alec Wieseman did the best on the team by scrambling around to shoot a 95 to finish ninth in the Watson Division," Riggs said. 

Connor Morrison shot a 99, which was one stroke away from placing. 

Andric Garcia shot a 105, Grant Brigham carded a 109 and Carter Fjell tallied a 104. 

Logan View's Jake Hagerbaumer shot a 81 to win the meet. 

Triangular - Aprll 29

Shelby-Rising City took second place in a triangular against David City and Twin on Monday at David City golf course.

The Huskies shot a 179 as a team and were lead by Weiseman who scored a 43. 

David City won the triangular with a score of 168.

Morrison tallied a 44, Belt and Fjell carded 46s and Brigham finished with a 48. 

David City's Will Danielson and Jordan Kracl scored a low score of 39 to lead all players.
