Carter Ossian of David City won gold for the Scouts on Monday at the Southern Nebraska Conference Championship in the triple jump. Ossian took the top spot with a jump of 39 feet, 10 inches.
Ossian's win helped the Scotus to a fifth-place finish in the boys team standings.
The meet was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, began action with field events but was then moved to Monday due to high winds.
Ossian also took fourth in the 200 and was the second leg on a 1600 relay team which won silver.
Macy Svoboda had success for the David City girls. She took second in both the 300-meter hurdles and long jump and fourth in the 100 hurdles.
Svoboda also was the second leg on the 400-meter relay team that finished fifth.
Svoboda and her Scout teammates put together a ninth-place team finish overall.
Svoboda and Ossian weren't the only Scouts to score. The 200 proved to be a successful event for the boys.
Besides Ossian's fourth place finish, Clayton Denker won silver and Christian Faz took fifth in the event.
Denker also won a silver in the open 400. Maya Couch took third in the girls 100.
Nick Ruth finished fourth in the long jump while Fax took fourth in the triple jump.
Payton Andel finished sixth in the pole vault.
David City track will be in action next at 9 a.m. Thursday at Fillmore Central.
