Colfax County Attorney Denise Kracl recently received a Special Recognition Award from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA), the county’s property, liability and workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider.
Kracl was recognized during an awards banquet held in conjunction with the annual membership conference the organization presented Oct. 3-4 in York for officials and employees in Nebraska counties and related public agencies that participate in the risk management and self-insurance program.
Kracl was chosen to receive the award because the proactive and professional manner in which she provides legal services to county and her efforts to mitigate the county’s potential liability and loss exposures.

NIRMA was created on Jan. 7, 1988, by 32 counties as Nebraska’s first risk management and self-insurance program for county governments. Today, NIRMA serves 82 counties and 20 associated public entities.
