It only took three innings for Highway 91 to defeat Madison/Humphrey/Lindsay as the Cyclones scored thee in the first, two in the second and seven in the third to take a 12-0 victory on Oct. 3.
Highway 91 outhit M/H/L 7-0 and had multiple runs by Faith Indra, Ryee Olson, Payje Rayback and Riana Grotelueschen. Rayback also led the Cyclones with two hits.
Jaedyn Ratzlaff had a team-high three RBIs. Indra and Ratzlaff both hit doubles and Rayback tripled in the third.
Ratzlaff started in the circle, pitching all three innings. She gave up no hits and no runs while striking out four batters and walking five.
Highway 91 improves to 14-9 on the season.
The Cyclones played Polk County on Monday.

On Wednesday, Highway 91 started the district tournament which takes place at Pierce.
The rest of the field in the tournament includes Boone Central, No. 2 West Point Guardian Angels Central Catholic, Madison/Humphrey/Lindsay, O'Neill, Pierce and Ponca.
The six teams that win their district tournament in Class C will qualify for the state tournament as well two additional wild card teams.
Highway 91 is currently 16th in the power point rankings and will need to win its district tournament to get to Hastings.
