Saunders County prosecutors filed terroristic threat allegations in juvenile court against a 16-year-old Wahoo High School student for threats involving the school made on social media Monday.

Saunders County Attorney Steven Twohig said the boy appeared in court Monday and will remain in detention until a court hearing next week.

He declined to give details about the threat, who or what it was against or on what social media platform the threat was made, but he said it was severe enough that police maintained a presence at the school Monday.

Twohig also wouldn’t confirm whether the threat was related to a sexually explicit video made last week of a Wahoo student engaged in “inappropriate behavior.” He said authorities also are investigating that incident and whether the video was shared with others.
