Lincoln police found a 67-year-old man dead while checking on a vehicle reported as suspicious on the north edge of the Fallbrook neighborhood, a department spokeswoman confirmed.

An officer was called to Northwest Second Street and Bittersweet Drive around 8 a.m. when the body was discovered.

Capt. Bob Farber said there were no signs of foul play, but an autopsy is scheduled on Friday.

The identity of the dead man hasn't been released.
