Two arrested on Sunday
On Sunday, Tyler Strong of Columbus, 21, was driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado through Duncan when he crashed into two parked cars. The estimated damages were $5,000 to the first vehicle and $8,000 to the second, according to the Platte County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Ed Wemhoff said Strong was arrested for driving under the influence, having no valid registration and no proof of insurance. He has since paid his $500 bail bond and been released from police custody, according to Lieutenant Dave Westfall of the Platte County detention facility. His court day has been set for Jan. 30.
That same day, Jazz Buttaro of Columbus was arrested at a Columbus residence by a deputy without incident. She was wanted on a Platte County warrant for failure to pay a fine regarding no proof of insurance, according to Westfall. She has since paid a $100 fine and been released from police custody.
