Ami (Ternus) Kallberg, 36, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at her home in Columbus.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation will be from 5–7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, with a 7 p.m. vigil service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 9:30–10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at. St. Isidore Church. Burial will be in the Hoffer Cemetery in Polk County. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Ami Kaye Kallberg was born Aug. 12, 1983, in Columbus, to Paul Steven and Holly Kaye (Den) Ternus. She graduated from Columbus High School and attended Chadron State College where she earned a degree in history. Ami met her husband, Doug in Columbus where they were married on Sept. 10, 2011. They moved to Minneapolis where she became a pharmacy technician. She got to travel to London and Paris. Ami loved crafts and crocheting. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and ever forgiving wife. A beautiful soul taken too soon!
She is survived by husband, Doug Kallberg of Columbus; daughter, Kaylee Kallberg of Columbus; father, Steve Ternus of Columbus; sister, Leah Lyday of Columbus; in-laws, Blaine and Cheryl Kallberg of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Kristen Taylor of Hibbing, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by mother, Holly Kaye Ternus; grandparents, Victor and Cecelia Ternus; grandfather, Wayland Den; several aunts and uncles.
