Annette Jackson, 52, of Columbus, died Friday, May 31, 2019, at her home in Columbus.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at Bible Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Walker officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, and will continue from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.

Annette Marie Jackson was born on July 17, 1966, to Delmar and Helen (Walker) Tucker, in Columbus. She was raised in Columbus and resided there throughout her life. Being raised as the second eldest of a family of nine children began Annette's love of family. After graduating in 1984, Annette married the love of her life, Kenneth Wade Jackson, on Sept. 16, 1984. They welcomed seven children into their home: Katie, Nathan, Charlie, Rachel, Olivia, Amanda and Katharine.

Being a godly mother and loving wife were Annette's main focus. She put God first in her life and served her family faithfully. She was a truly selfless, loving, and kind mother and wife. “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Annette and Kenneth were blessed with 10 grandchildren. Being a grandmother was her favorite job. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy, and they loved her so much.

Annette always had a heart for others. She would deliver handmade cinnamon rolls, Christmas breads, and cookies to friends. She loved sewing for her daughters and crafting. Annette loved visiting with her family at Sunday dinner, when all of her children came home.

Over the past year and a half, Annette fought cancer bravely. She would not complain and still put her family first, even when she was very ill. She even cared and prayed for her nurses, and they loved her. Annette was a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church. She was ready to meet her Savior and is healed now. She relied on God for strength and He never failed her.

Annette is survived by husband, Kenneth Jackson of Columbus; daughter, Katie (Bernie) Brinkman of Columbus; grandchildren: Jayden, Sophia, Henry and Ella; son, Nathan (Abigail) Jackson of Columbus; grandchildren: Carsen, Addilynn and Silas; son, Charlie Jackson of Columbus; daughter, Rachel Wedige of Columbus; grandchildren: Ava, Madilyn and Hudson; daughter, Olivia (Leland) Chamberlin of Columbus; daughter, Amanda Jackson of Columbus; daughter, Katharine Jackson of Columbus; mother, Helen Tucker of Columbus; brother, Tim (Suzanne) Tucker of Columbus; brother, Joe (Julie) Tucker of Columbus; brother, Tom (Rebecca) Tucker of Columbus; brother, Paul (Jennifer) Tucker of Columbus; brother, Dwight (Mary) Tucker of Columbus; sister, Kay (Bryce) Gehring of Columbus; sister, Evelyn (Ralph) Seadschlag of Columbus; brother, Aaron (Karen) Tucker of Columbus; mother-in-law, Norma (Loren) Swiney of Columbus; brother-in-law, Larry (Sarah Lynn) Jackson of Columbus; many nieces and nephews.

Annette was preceded in death by father, Delmar Tucker; father-in-law, Lyle Jackson.
