Bruce Pandorf, 57 of Columbus, died Monday, July 29, 2019, in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, with a 7 p.m. vigil service at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation will continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, also at the church. Burial will be in the All Saints Cemetery.

Bruce was born Oct. 28, 1961 in Osceola, to Theodore and Irene (Krumbach) Pandorf. He grew up in Shelby and attended school in David City, graduating from Aquinas High School in 1980. He continued his education and received his degrees from SCC – Milford in Automotive and Diesel Technology.

On Nov. 3, 1984, he married Denise Shultz at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby. They lived in Columbus. Throughout the years he worked at Nielsen Chevrolet, Ernst Auto, and ASCS Office part-time in Schuyler. He also farmed with his brother, Phil for several years. He continued his education and received his Associate Degree in Business from CCC. Bruce has worked for Cornhusker Public Power for the past 19 years, first as a groundsman, and then as an auto mechanic.

He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, EMHE, and past Cub Scout Leader. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren, prayer group and helping others.

Bruce was a kind, loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very gentle, humble and caring person who put others before himself. He was a simple and faithful man who did not need many possessions; his faith and family were his greatest possessions.

Bruce is survived by wife, Denise Pandorf of Columbus; daughter, Sarah Pandorf of Columbus; son, Matthew Pandorf of Columbus; son, Trevor Pandorf of Lincoln; brother, Philip (Karen) Pandorf of Shelby; brother, Paul (Karina) Pandorf of Columbus; two grandchildren: Owen and Garrett Osantowski.

He was preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Irene Pandorf.
