SCHUYLER -- Dean Babel, 68, of Schuyler, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Divine Mercy Parish St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler. The Rev. Gerry Gonderinger will be the celebrant.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, with 7 p.m. rosary, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday, all at Kracl Funeral Chapel.
Cremation following the service-committal at a later date.
Lunch in the church Social Hall following military honors.
Memorials in care of the family for future designation.
Surviving Dean is his wife Barb, of Schuyler; a daughter Dawn (Ryan) Bartels of Bennington; son Jason Babel of Galba, Iowa; four grandchildren Morgan Babel, Brady Babel, Brody Bartels and Analyn Bartels; three brothers Jim (Jean) Babel of Columbus, Robert Babel of Omaha and Clark Babel of Columbus and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law Sandy Babel.
